An oldie but goodie in the identity theft world. Printing fake checks, stealing checks, ordering checks in someone’s name, or tampering with real checks are all common tactics used by identity thieves. Since we don’t commonly think about checks being susceptible to fraud, this continues to be a popular tactic.
